iReport - Generating First Report

(A) One-time Setup Guide

1. Go to : Options -> Settings -> External Programs

Key in the below

C:\Program Files\Windows NT\Accessories\wordpad.exe

2. Go to : Build

Select

Text Preview (iReport)

3. Go to : Build

Select

Ignoring Pagination

(B) How to test Database Connection

-----------------------------------

1. Go to Data -> Connections / Datasources

2. Click on wsemp, which will then highlight the selected row

3. Click Modify

4. Click Test

5. Should the connection is successful, you will see the alert message as below :

Connection Test Successfull

6. Click ok

1. Go to File -> Open

Look for

stock_below_min_qty.jrxml

2. Go to Build

Click

Execute (with active connection)

3. When prompted for report location, please key in the Location Id as below :

1000 TAGO

1001 AEMG

1002 MSSB

1003 SPMSB

1004 COLOP STAMP SDN BHD

1005 ENERGINA SDN BHD

4. The report will then be shown in WordPad
